Go to Agents Studio and click Create agent (Agent aanmaken) at the top right.
Choose a type: Sourcing and outreach (Sourcing en benaderen), Screening (Screenen), Matching (Matchen), Sales or Help me build one (Help me er een bouwen).
Describe in the chat what the agent should do. For example: "Find candidates for a role, reach out to them and schedule an appointment with the ones who are interested."
The builder sets up the agent. You see the steps in a flow, for example: Agent settings > Find candidates > LinkedIn invitation > LinkedIn InMail > LinkedIn conversation > Schedule intake > Create task.
In the chat on the left, choose what kind of agent you want to build.
Who writes the messages?
The builder asks who writes the messages:
The question Who writes the messages? in the builder chat.
I write everything (Ik schrijf alles): you write all messages yourself, using placeholders.
I start, the agent replies (Ik begin, de agent antwoordt): you write the first message and the agent then holds the conversation based on the vacancy. Because you write the first message, the AI disclosure doesn't need to be in it. The agent does make clear that it's AI as soon as it takes over.
The agent writes everything (De agent schrijft alles): the agent introduces itself as someone writing on behalf of the recruiter, and hands the conversation over to the recruiter as soon as it gets interesting.
Step: Agent settings
The Agent settings panel: name, goal, sender, working hours and exclusions.
Name and goal of the agent. The goal steers the conversations, for example towards an appointment.
Sender: the owner of the vacancy, or the person who starts the run.
Working hours
Exclusions: companies that must never be approached (on top of clients you've already excluded from sourcing), job titles and words in profiles. For example a certificate showing that someone comes from a different industry.
Step: Find candidates
The Find candidates panel: vacancy, must-haves, LinkedIn account and approval.
Choose the vacancy if you haven't done so in the builder yet.
Tick the must-haves. By default the builder leaves nice-to-haves out of the search.
Choose your LinkedIn account.
Choose whether you approve candidates yourself first, or let the agent decide who gets approached.
Add instructions, for example: "Don't approach candidates with a score below 50."
Step: LinkedIn invitation (connection request)
This step applies if you're not yet connected with the candidate.
Choose Use my message (Mijn bericht gebruiken) and type your message.
Use the plus icon at the bottom right to add placeholders, such as first name, current position or current company. For example: "Hi [first name], I see you work as [current position] at [current company]…"
Help me write (Help met schrijven): choose a tone of voice. Jaicob creates a few versions of your message. Pick one and click Replace (Vervangen).
The preview shows exactly what will be sent, and from which account.

Help me write: choose a tone of voice and one of the suggested versions.
Note: LinkedIn account types: you can connect any LinkedIn account. With a free account you can only send a limited number of connection requests with a message per month. With Premium, Sales Navigator or Recruiter you get many more messages and better search filters. We recommend that.
Tip: Based on our own data, connection requests without a note often perform better, regardless of the LinkedIn plan. Test what works best for your audience.
Step: LinkedIn conversation
This step starts as soon as the candidate accepts your connection request. Write more messages yourself if you like, or let the agent take over. Choose a writing style and add instructions for replies. You can also click suggested instructions, such as "Ask when they can start" or "Discuss the notice period". You only need to connect your LinkedIn account once. After that it's used in all steps.

Step: InMail (follow-up)
If the connection request isn't accepted within a certain time, the agent sends an InMail. You decide after how many days, for example 1, 3, 7 or 10 days.
The LinkedIn InMail step: set after how many days the follow-up is sent.
Step: Schedule intake
Choose the platform and the moment: as soon as the candidate meets the requirements, or earlier.
Set the writing style, the channel, the type of meeting (for example online or on site) and the duration.
Choose whether the appointment needs your approval first or goes straight into your calendar.
Add instructions, for example: "Try to win the candidate over if they're hesitating."
The Schedule intake step with channel, meeting type, duration and approval.
Step: Create task
The agent creates a task for you when needed. For example if you've set it up so that you approve candidates yourself first.
Adjusting the flow
Remove a step: click a step and then the trash icon.
Add a step: click next to a step and choose from the available steps. For example a step in which the candidate is presented to the client with their CV after the intake.
Prefer the chat? Type your change in the builder. The agent adjusts the flow for you and fills everything in automatically.
Adding a step: on the right you choose from the available steps.
If you choose a vacancy in the builder, Jaicob fills in the agent as much as possible on its own.
Testing and activating
Click Preview (Voorbeeld) at the bottom right to see how a conversation with a candidate might go.
