What does the AI Sourcing Agent do?
The Sourcing Agent is designed to take the time-consuming candidate search off your plate. The agent:
Actively searches online for profiles that match your vacancy
Identifies relevant candidates based on job title, location, experience, and extra criteria
Adds candidates to your database
Can automatically reach out via email
Optionally sends follow-ups if there’s no response
How to set up the Sourcing Agent
With Jaicob’s Sourcing Agent, you can automate both searching for and reaching out to candidates. Here’s how to set one up:
1. Create a new Sourcing Agent
Go to the left-hand menu and click on Agents. Then click New Agent in the top right. Choose Sourcing Agent as the type.
2. Link to a vacancy
Select the vacancy you want the agent to source candidates for.
✅ Note: The vacancy must be published on your careers page for the AI to find and contact candidates.
3. Set a schedule
Choose how often the agent should search:
Daily
Weekly
4. (Optional) Add extra criteria
Narrow down the search using LinkedIn-style data:
✅ Suitable:
Languages spoken
Years of experience
Companies someone has or hasn’t worked for
❌ Not suitable:
Driver’s license
Certificates or background checks
Specific diplomas
5. Personalize the outreach
Give the AI clear instructions for how the outreach message should sound. The more specific you are, the better the messages will match your tone and audience.
Example instructions:
“Introduce me briefly, compliment their profile, mention the vacancy, explain why it’s relevant, and close in a friendly way.”
💡 Tip:
You can also include literal text the AI should use, such as:
Personalize the intro with compliments about the LinkedIn profile
Use this line for the vacancy:
“We’re looking for an experienced marketer in the Utrecht region who enjoys working on scalable campaigns in an energetic team.”
Close with:
“I’d love to hear if you’re open to a quick intro chat!”
6. Activate the agent
Click Activate. The AI will start sourcing, contacting, and following up.
Where to find results
The candidates found by the Sourcing Agent will appear under Leads in the left-hand menu. You can review, assign, or follow up with them from there.
Tips
The more specific your vacancy and target audience, the better your leads will be
Give clear tone-of-voice instructions (e.g., formal/informal)
Combine with a follow-up agent for a fully automated sourcing funnel
